A Month of Lifestyle Changes

There’s not just one set way to exercise. The main four types of exercise are endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility. The best thing about exercising is that you can pick different forms that work for you, and if you don’t like it you can change it. My goal was to exercise everyday for a month. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission has a main goal of enforcing state laws that prohibit discrimination such as the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, which covers discrimination in employment, housing, commercial property, education and public accommodations; as well as the Pennsylvania Fair Educational Opportunities Act, which is specific to post secondary education, secondary vocational, and trade schools . Unresolved: Neshaminy versus the PHRC

The fifth day of the hearing between Neshaminy  High School and the  Pennsylvania Human Relations Committee took place on January 11. While Neshaminy had a number of witnesses arguing for the continuation of the use of the word R–skin as the high school’s mascot, but that didn’t derail the PHRC from making strong points and hitting them back. Throughout the hearing, most of the witnesses for Neshaminy argued for the use of the word, stating it brought a sense of pride to the community. However when the PHRC would cross examine they could get almost all of the witnesses to agree that the term R–skin could be considered offensive. Read more.

YouTube is home to many celebrities and influencers whose main purpose is to entertain their  viewers and get their subscriber count up. To their subscribers, these people are perfect and can do no wrong, but sooner or later something comes out about these stars and, all of a sudden, their subscriber count plummets. Take Advantage of BCCC Internship Opportunities

Internships are  offered to all  Bucks students, both full and part-time. In addition to that, students that are over 18 in a dual enrollment program, who are in high school taking courses at the college, are eligible to apply for an internship. Professor Brenda Seibert is in charge of the internships and is also the job developer for creating internships. Seibert’s job is to bridge the gap between the perspective employers and the students at Bucks. When a student fills out a form, Seibert reviews the form and then takes that information to match them with a potential employer. Read more.

Funeral Director is Sentenced in Fraud Case

A funeral director is sentenced to prison after ripping off people who prepaid for their funerals by stealing their money and using it elsewhere.   David Wayne Faust, age 54, a Hulmeville Pa resident and business owner, pleaded guilty on June 5, 2018, for collecting 100,000 in Social Security Disability Benefits and stole almost 300,000 from over a dozen clients who prepaid for their funerals by forging death certificates despite some being alive, over a span of 17 years. It is believed that there were 54 victims in total ripped off by Faust. Read more.

Bombs Sent to Prominent Democrats

A series of bombs have been sent to prominent Democratic figures such as former President Barack Obama, and are being treated as domestic terrorism. The devices are believed to be pipe bombs, which are known to be extremely unstable and can be set off just by being handled. Multiple packages have been sent to Democratic figures who have been openly critical of President Trump. On Monday, Oct. 22, a parcel was delivered to billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros. An employee of Soros opened the parcel and discovered what appeared to be a pipe bomb. They placed the parcel in a wooded area and proceeded to call the police. Read more.
